Hilary Westrom, Trustee
More than 19 years ago, Hilary Westrom came to Las Vegas as a district manager for the retail chain, the Limited. In 2000, Ms. Westrom completed a master’s degree from UNLV to pursue a career in counseling. Together with her significant other, John A. Ritter, Chairman and CEO of Focus Property Group, their goal has become investing in the community that they call home. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in a private practice, Hilary provides treatment for children, adolescents, adults and families for various issues including sexual abuse and domestic violence. In addition to establishing the Ritter Charitable Trust with Mr. Ritter, Hilary also makes it a priority to give her time, talent and resources to many other community organizations. Hilary is an active member of the Children’s Advocacy Alliance, the Clark County Mental Health Consortium and the Clark County Family Services Citizen’s Advisory Committee, Girls and Boys Town, and Three Square.
Tom DeVore, Trustee
Thomas J. DeVore serves as Chief Operating Officer for Focus Property Group, overseeing all facets of Focus' businesses. In this, Tom has played a prominent role in the planning and development of over $1 billion in land. Additionally, Mr. DeVore has represented national homebuilders, master developers, institutional lenders and real estate operating companies in numerous complex transactions. He has served on the boards of a number of local charitable organizations and has lectured on real estate finance and title matters.
Gard Jameson
Gard Jameson is a former partner at Piercy, Bowler, Taylor and Kern, CPAs. He spent 25 years in the accounting industry before returning to school to earn his PhD in Comparative Religion at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara. He now teaches Oriental and Western Philosophy at UNLV. He serves as Southern Nevada Coordinator for Contemplative Outreach, an organization started by Father Thomas Keating, introducing people to contemplative prayer.
His community service includes serving as Associate Pastor at Grace Community Church in Boulder City, the current Chair of the Interfaith Council of Southern Nevada, the current Chair of the Childrens' Advocacy Alliance and Trustee Emeritus of the Nevada Community Foundation. He also serves on the board of the North American Interfaith Network and the Raymond M Alf Museum of Life.
Doug Beckley
A native Las Vegan, Doug Beckley founded The Beckley Group in 2001 and serves as its CEO. Doug is an award winning professional trainer, speaker and consultant. Doug has had a far-reaching professional life and is a well known business owner, philanthropist and civic leader.
Doug’s involvement in the Las Vegas community has been extensive. In addition to his tenure with the Nevada Community Foundation, he has served as Vestry member of Grace in the Desert Episcopal Church, Advisory Board Member of AIDS Action International, member of the Las Vegas Southwest Rotary, a Paul Harris Fellow and a member of the Las Vegas and North Las Vegas Chambers of Commerce.
Doug received his BS in Business Management from the University of the Pacific in 1986. His early career was in banking and real estate. He was a District Credit Officer and Commercial Lender with First Interstate Bank . He also has owned and sold a variety of Las Vegas real estate including the famous Pioneer Club Casino, which Doug and his family owned and operated for many years.
Gian Brosco, Esq.
As President of Nevada Community Foundation, Gian is the chief executive leading a team of Foundation professionals, and brings to the Foundation over a decade of experience in the field of philanthropy, including four years with the Rhode Island Community Foundation as Senior Development Officer and gift planning advisor. Prior to joining the Nevada Community Foundation, Gian served as Philanthropic Service Officer/Vice President for the Philanthropic Management Group of the U.S. Trust Bank of America, providing counsel to institutional and private clients, as well as serving as an expert for Bank of America on the subjects of philanthropy, planned giving, investment policy, and fiduciary and tax matters.
An experienced attorney in estate planning, Gian received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Georgetown University and completed his Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law in 1990; he is admitted to the Bars in Rhode Island and Texas, and is a member of the Tax-Exempt Organization Committee of the American Bar Association.
Keith Latham
Keith Latham joined the Nevada Community Foundation as its Director of Finance in 2003. He is responsible for the day-to-day financial operation of this organization and oversees all of the Foundation's bank accounts, investment procedures, accounts receivable/payable, and human resources. Keith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Reno. Before working for the Foundation, he was employed by the Economic Opportunity Board of Clark County as their chief financial officer.
